This is a weekend trip consisting of camping, campfires, bike riding the badlands From Rosedale to Nacmine along the Red Deer River trails, plus over 11 bridges to the historic Last Chance Saloon in Wayne Alberta, and the Suspension Bridge in Rosedale.
Those attending will enjoy the pristine campgrounds at Rosedale (11 Bridged Campground & Cabins), which includes showers, laundry mat, tuck shop and nearby ice cream bar. (Rosedale is also the site of the Suspension Bridge)
Total riding distance for the weekend will be 65 Km, broken up in two days. The pace is relaxing, with stops along the way for photos & beverages.
1) Nacmine Ride is 35km; bring a saddle bag as we will stop along the way in one of the many parks near the river for a picnic, and refreshments.
2) Wayne Ride is 22 km; no pack is necessary, as we will stop at the Last Chance Saloon for some spirits and buffalo burgers.
3) Rosedale Ride is 8km; a fun ride to to the Suspension Bridge from the camp, a fast trip to the valley and a climb on return.
This WILL BE a fun weekend.
We caravan it leaving Millet on the Friday around 11AM, (call if you want to travel together 780-387-5340) and arrive Rosedale at 3:30PM. We depart the Badlands, the Sunday. This is a two night stay.
ABOUT THE CAMPGROUND:
The campground will accommodate, tent trailers, RV’s, ground tents, and small cabins. Full or partial service stalls are available. If you RSVP, please call the campground and book into a stall AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
