Camp and Ride the David Thompson Mountains – Thompson Creek Campgrounds

Ride the David Thompson Highway and trails in the heart of the Alberta Rockies.

This will be a four day “hub & spoke” riding and group camping weekend.  

The Thompson Creek Campground is 83 km southwest of Nordegg on Hwy. 11. This picturesque recreation area is on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. There are over 50 well-treed sites, suitable for RVs and tents. A trail leads to scenic views of the river valley.

Open:  May – Thanksgiving (Maximum stay of 16 nights in the same site)

Registration:  Self-registration, no reservations

Amenities:  Firewood supplied**.  Fishing, hiking, mountain biking / cycling, canoeing on North Saskatchewan river, wildlife viewing.
